Description
Presented here are two basic types of Pick moves to first base from a left handed pitcher (LHP). They include:
- Pick looking at first - Video 1 - Pitcher comes set, looks at first base during delivery, then simply picks over.
- Pick looking at home - Video 2 - Pitcher comes set, checks the runner, looks at home plate when starting delivery, then picks over.
- Pitcher should also vary the length of time in the set position as well as his/her looks. This helps to disrupt any type of tendencies a baserunner may be looking for.
- Left Handed Pitchers should make sure that they are landing on a 45 degree angle from the rubber with the right foot (anything more is considered a balk).
