Objective
To be able to relax when misplaying a groundball.
Become familiar picking up the ball with your bare hand.
Equipment
Baseballs (2-3)
Gloves
Description
The coach stands behind the infielder and bounces the baseball anywhere out in front.
The player scrambles to find the ball and throws to the intended target.
Tips
The infielder must pick the ball up with their throwing hand. Have the infielders in the ready position.
To make the drill more realistic, softly bounce the ball off the infielder's chest to mimic a misplayed ground ball.
