  OUFIELD
 

Objective

  • To become comfortable reading baseballs hit directly at an outfielder.

Equipment

  • Gloves
  • Baseballs (10 - 12)
  • Fungo
  • Any field is fine but an actual outfield is the best.

Description

  • Line-up the outfielders either in a single file, of horizontal line facing the coach approximately 120 feet away.
  • The coach hits line drives at each player.

Tips

  • The outfielders should wait until they have a good read on the baseball before moving in any direction.
